Chef Phillip Milton

Phillip Milton, of Michigan, began his culinary interest at a young age, watching and learning from his mother and grandmother in his childhood home. Over the years his passion for cooking lead him to apply for culinary school, which he was accepted into in 1996 at the age of 19. His attendance at Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona expanded his repertoire and style of cooking immensely. Upon his completion, Chef Phill Milton, returned to his roots in Michigan working in kitchens across the Detroit Area at Too Chez, Tribute, and Travis Pointe Country Club. In 2001 Phill put his career on hold to serve his country and enlist in the U.S. Army where he served for two tours. Upon his safe return he relocated to Tampa, Florida where the Chef not only returned back to the kitchen but back to school as well to earn a degree in Computer Science from the University of South Florida. After two degrees and two years of the Army under his belt Chef Phill was ready to return to his true passion of cooking. In 2015 Chef was recruited to work for the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. At this point his newly married wife, who was from Pittsburgh, was desperate to move back to the Steel City and began to introduce Chef Phill to the rising food scene of the area. Chef Phill Milton is happy to call Social House 7 his new home base, serving up izakaya/Japanese style dishes for customers of the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
